Thank you so much for all your help in making the Lock-Up so much fun for our guests. Everyone raved about the salad and ham & cheese sandwiches… and your staff was so very kind and helpful. We are close to making goal and will keep you up to date as the remaining pledges and dollars from those ‘emergency’ last minute cancellations come in. Please relay our thank you’s to everyone! I want to applaud the incredible hospitality Assistant Manager James Bergmasco showed to my family, and especially my grandmother, Emily Bandre, on last Saturday evening, February 21st. On Saturday, we celebrated my grandmother's 91st birthday and she expressed her desire to dine at Jerome Bettis' Grille 36 for her birthday, as she is a huge Steelers fan.
We have heard that your restaurant is always quite busy, especially on weekend evenings. My mother called the restaurant early in the day on Saturday and was told that your restaurant does not take reservations or call ahead seating. I thought it was worth calling back to see if there was any possibility of being given some sort of "seating priority" due to the fact that my grandmother is 91 and cannot stand for long periods of time. I spoke with Jim, who immediately assured me it would not be a problem and he would seat us upon our arrival. We were very appreciative of this accommodation. When we arrived, Jim and the hostess on duty were both very friendly and attentive.
Jim then exceeded any possible expectations we may have had by giving us the "owner's suite" to dine in. The food and service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and competent. We loved our food, the pierogies, ribs, and onion rings were exceptional. As we were finishing our dinner, Jim gave my grandmother the additional surprise of leading her into the main dining area and having the DJ announce her birthday. The entire restaurant applauded and sang her happy birthday.
We simply could not have asked for a more special birthday. My grandmother absolutely loved your restaurant and your staff went above and beyond any expectations could have had for our dining experience. My grandmother has already called all of her friends and family to tell them about her experience. I will certainly recommend Jerome Bettis' Grill 36 to everyone I know. Thank you again for the unforgettable experience. I will certainly return to your restaurant the next time I am in Pittsburgh. We just wanted to Thank everyone at the Bettis Grille for being so great to us as we watched the Steeler game yesterday...The service with that many people was unbelievable. Food was "great" and the wait wasn't long at all for Drinks. The staff just took care of everyone and to be able to sit in a nice, warm, establishment with other Steeler fans with Food-Drinks and a view out the dining room window of the stadium was so much fun. We also liked how you incorporated the music with the plays and the introduction was great. You should be very proud of your staff and the "Class Act" your establishment provides. We're hoping to come to your Superbowl Party in a couple weeks. That sounds fun too! so Thanks again and tell your "boss" thanks for opening such a wonderful establishment! GO STEELERS!
